bikelab is run by one of the most experienced teams of specialists in the bike industry. so who are we and how can our backgrounds benefit you, your bike and your riding? . 

clive gosling 
the founder of bikelab was born into the bicycle industry as his great grandfather opened the first of many bike shops in 1908. the family business still operates today in london and is a royal warrant holder as suppliers to buckingham palace.

clive worked in the family business for over ten years before going on to be a sales manager for dawes cycles and then sales and marketing manager for cannondale. clive is an accredited sports commentator, a magazine tester and contributor and has been a multiple national cycling champion. he is also an accredited cycling coach.

during clives time working at cannondale, he developed a technical training program to increase the abilities of dealers working on the more technical aspects such as suspension and disc brake systems. it was during implementation of this program that clive realised that there were many bike shops that weren’t able to set bikes up to a level that would provide the end users with the maximum performance available, and so the idea for bikelab was born.

clive has three kids and a shop to run so riding time is limited nowadays but rides a Titus El Guapo. clive was also hand selected to be the technical editor of bicycle buyer magazine because of his wide and diverse industry experience.

clive is pictured below with mountain bike legend john tomac, clive is the one that doesn't look like a mountain bike world champion!

martin ross  
martin ross. or 'rosser' as he is known, is the general manager at the lab. he's pictured below riding his wilier up the 'col du galibier' but is also a demon mountain biker. he is well known in the dorset area as he previously managed another specialist bike shop for many years. martin is also well known for his lung puncturing injuries involving bus shelters, one crash occured during a particularly fast run down a purbeck hill where he launched himself over the side of a cow who was standing at the bottom . the cow was shaken but unscathed. martin used to have a party trick of knowing all the shimano parts codes off by heart but nowadays realises there are more important things in life like riding his Titus Fireline and is looking forward to peaceful rides in the forest with his new daughter katie. martin is our main customer service contact, give him a call or e-mail him if you want someone who knows their bikes and gets the job done......

jordan works saturdays and the occasional holiday at bikelab and when he's not practicing his backflips on his freeride bike he's scrubbing up his technical skills in our workshop. because he's used to having to fix his bike at the top or bottom of a mountain jordan has a great 'hands on' technical knowledge of hows things work.

steve coombes

steve is a committed touring cyclist who has just finished a tour around cuba and rides lands end to john o groats just for kicks. steve is a qualified mountain guide able to keep groups of riders on the chosen path not unlike a wizened shepheard. steve rides a titus ftm off road and some weird old school steel diamond back for his tours. 

oli de aguiar

oli is our 'hollister model' saturday boy. a keen mountain biker and surfer, ollies tanned slender figure has the female customers all a flutter on a saturday afternoon. however ollie is more than just good looks, his work experience at the lab gave him a great knowledge base to advise customers on the right bike and set up.
