suspension set up and preparation. we pride ourselves in the fact that we have wide and diverse experience in suspension set up and preparation, we do a lot of work in-house but we also have technical partners to help us provide the ultimate performance.
in-house: we can set up and service any make of rear shock or suspension fork. our mechanics are the highest trained in the industry and regularly attend manufacturers technical seminars for the latest developments. having a vast amount of experience either as competitive racers ourselves or working with some of the most successful cycling athletes in the world has helped bikelab understand how to maximize the performance of any suspension system. we offer a diagnosis service where we will inspect your suspension forks inside and out and advise you if we can increase the performance. we offer this diagnosis free of charge and if we can increase the performance, our prices are fully explained before we carry out any work.
technical partners:
bikelab have partnered with tf tuned shox to provide the highest level of technical back up and tuning in the bike industry. tf have the most expertise in rock shox and manitou than any other company and also supply and back us up with the awesome maverick suspension systems. check out www.tftunedshox.com for more info.
mojo are our guys for fox shox. still the top dogs in suspension performance, most of our fox units go to mojo for service and tuning. these guys have all the spare parts and a dyno test bench to make sure your fox unit keeps running sweet as new. check out www.mojo.co.uk for more info.
both of our technical partners offer a same price structure through bikelab as dealing direct.

disc brake preparation and tuning:
bikelab is an authorized supplier and service center for hope, magura, shimano, avid and hayes systems so you will be safe in the knowledge that it has been done correctly using only manufacturer approved parts and tooling. we also offer upgrades to goodridge hoses to increase the performance of any system. if the wrong type of fluid is used in a hydraulic system or an incompatible olive is fitted on the hose, these mistakes can cause the brake system to fail leading to serious injury. one of the main issues affecting disc brake performance is incorrect fitment. unless the frame or fork mounts have been correctly 'faced' with a special tool, caliper and correct pad alignment is virtually impossible. at bikelab, we have the tools, the knowledge and experience to get the most out of your disc brakes.
wheel building:
building wheels is an art that is developed over many years and we have extensive experience in building custom wheels using the finest materials, tools and knowledge available. we can custom build you your ultimate wheelset using any rim/hub and spoke combination. we can also service and repair today’s high tech complete wheel systems such as shimano and mavic. british and former world trials champion martyn ashton relies on wheels built by bikelab and when he is dropping off of 18ft concrete structures, the last thing on his mind is wheel failure. our wheels are built by hand, one at a time by a dt swiss approved master wheel builder. we exclusively use the finest dt swiss made spokes and all our wheels are built using a spoke tensiometer to check accuracy and perfect tension every time.
computerized bike fitting analysis: we offer this service to maximise the set up of an existing bike or to gain the data required to ensure a millimetre perfect fit of a new bike. we can also use this crucial body measuring system to define the geometry for a complete custom geometry bike. we use the www.bikefitting.com system, please click to their site for further info or see our customlab section for further details.
