Bike Fitting

'Bike fitting' does what it says on the tin; it 'fits' the bike to the rider to optimize their position for comfort and performance. However different cyclists have different requirements and a professional athlete looking to shave seconds off of his/her best time would require a different fit to a middle aged weekend warrior looking to ride as far as possible without upsetting that old knee injury. Even though the end result will be very different, the need for the correct fit is essential, and the processes used to achieve this are identical.

Bike fitting can be used to determine the choice for a rider's next bike or to analyze the position on an existing bike.

The process usually starts with a coffee and consultation to define the goals of the fit session and discuss general fitness, cycling history, flexibility and injury history before popping on the shorts and getting on with the fitting. It usually takes at least one hour for a fitting and can take a lot longer depending on the complexities encountered.

Costs vary but generally are set at £75 per hour. Certain costs can be redeemed against a bike purchase.

For the best attention we recommend phoning in to book a fitting so we can allocate the time and staff member accordingly.
